| How
to Drug Proof Your Kids is an education, prevention and intervention
programme developed by the national charity Care for the Family, in
association with Hope UK, specialists in drugs education. The course takes place over two consecutive Saturdays. All course materials, lunches and refreshments are free. Through a unique blend of parenting skills and drugs information we want to enable parents and carers to feel more confident, skilled and better equipped to help their children make good lifestyle choices when it comes to alcohol and drugs. This course is particularly helpful for those with children 8-16 years old. Thousands of parents have been helped by this innovative parenting programme. Drug Proofing Your Kids covers: - Drugs! Just how bad is it? - Why kids take drugs - How to educate kids to make good choices - Prevention tools for parents - Learning to intervene and where to get help - A parent's guide to handling relapses The course is run by Debbie Plura, who is an Accredited Presenter with Care for the Family, with input on the day from Woodseats Police. |
